— When the lights go down and the show begins, it's truly magical! David Kurtz has organized several major events at Wallmans and plans to continue doing so.

— We’ve hosted the Grand Travel Awards (GTA) at Wallmans for several years in a row, and I’ve already signed on for next year’s ceremony, says Kurtz.

David Kurtz is the Sales and Marketing Director at Reis and Travel News Magazine, and every January, he organizes the Grand Travel Award, which the industry refers to as the Oscars of travel. For the past five years, this grand evening has been held at Wallmans.

— They handle everything—even cleaning up the next day, David Kurtz laughs.

— After five years, we know each other well. There’s little back and forth, and the process gets easier every year. I review the show several times before the events, select the numbers that best fit our award ceremony, and then sit down with the event producers to craft the event from start to finish, making adjustments along the way. The people at Wallmans know their stuff and understand what we want. The service is unparalleled, and the staff don’t have the word “no” in their vocabulary. They handle everything. Always!

The audience loves the annual award ceremony and quickly secures tickets. The demand for this year’s Grand Travel Awards 25th anniversary was immense, and already a month before the event, all tables were booked. A total of 400 guests enjoyed a three-course meal and an entirely new and exhilarating show.

— This year’s show is absolutely fantastic—with great costumes and performances! Our award ceremony attracts people from all over the world. These are people who attend numerous shows throughout the year, and many of them say, “This is the best I’ve ever seen!”. Our guests rave about the food, the venue, the show—everything. Kristian Larsen, who is the Show Manager and Event Producer at Wallmans, has organized several GTA parties.

— Just like the GTA, most of our clients also mention that they especially appreciate our hands-on approach, following them from the first planning meeting to the completed event. We work to think of everything so our clients don’t have to think about anything. We handle the food, timing, decorations, and technology so they can relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Instead of sleepless nights and a lot of time spent planning, the client just leans back and enjoys the evening. After all, that’s why you organize a party—because it should be fun, says Larsen.
